Pastor Tony and Maria Fazio
Tony, born in Italy and now an Australian citizen for many years, is the senior pastor of the Living Hope for the Nations in Belfield, Sydney Australia. He has been involved in ministry in both youth and adult ministries spanning over 40 years.
Tony has an evangelistic/pastoral ministry which has taken him across the world ministering in Australia to multicultural fellowships, Italy, Canada, Philippines, England, Greece, Sri Lanka and most recently in Vanuatu on a mission trip with the Arm of Mercy Ministries.
He has an insatiable, enthusiastic love for Jesus and people, desiring that ALL come to the saving grace of God the Father. He passionately proclaims the full glorious gospel of Jesus Christ, knowing that only Jesus can give abundant life and real hope to those who come to Him with an open heart and a willingness to surrender totally to Him.
Tony believes that the Christian walk is not just talking but walking in the footsteps of Jesus daily in humility, in the power of the Holy Spirit, serving others rather than been served and knowing that the “the Kingdom of God is righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
Maria was also born in Italy but came to Australia with her parents at the tender age of 18 months and growing up on vegemite and scones! She loves her own family dearly and willingly sacrifices herself for them.
Maria has been a great support in the ministry working tirelessly in serving both her own family and the family of God. She encourages others to walk with God!
Steve Kontominas
Steven (Steve) Kontominas actively serves on the leadership team at the Living Hope for the Nations Church in Belfield.
Steve gave his heart to the Lord in 1980 at the age of 25 following life-threatening illnesses to both his father and mother. About the same time a very close friend had a major car accident. The friend’s life was hanging on a thread as he had severe head injuries. These events caused Steve to ask serious questions about the meaning and purpose of his life on earth!
Searching for spiritual guidance in this difficult time, and seeking prayer and support from Ps Tony Fazio, Steve found comfort in the Lord. His father, mother and friend ALL recovered and that’s when touched by the Lord, Steve totally surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Steve has been truly blessed with 5 sons and a daughter, and 8 beautiful grandchildren, extended family, church and friends for which he is very thankful and continuously praises Jesus for His amazing love and blessings.
Steve is a great example of honesty, humility, patience, commitment, steadfastness and faithfulness in the middle of adversity and life’s storms!
Steve is a great teacher of the Word who loves to exhort and encourage others to follow Jesus.
He now lives and serves the Lord through the power of His Holy Spirit!
